Non-Presented Paper (No-Show) Policy
Any accepted paper included in the final program is expected to have at least one author or
qualified proxy attend and present the paper at the conference.
- Failure to present (including absence during most of a poster session) will result in the
paper not being published on IEEE Xplore® or other public access forums.
- The paper will still be distributed to attendees as part of the conference proceedings, and
copyright will belong to IEEE.
- Conference organizers will collect attendance records and report no-shows to IEEE Computer
Society staff. Exceptions are granted only by the Technical Program Chairs upon evidence of
unanticipated events beyond the authors’ control. Appeals may be directed to the
VP-Conferences of the IEEE Computer Society.
Qualified Proxy Policy
Presentation by substitutes is highly discouraged and permitted only with prior written approval
from the Technical Program Chairs, supported by solid evidence that no author can attend. Papers
presented by unapproved proxies will be treated as no-shows.
Preprints Policy
Authors may post preprints on:
- Author’s personal website
- Author’s employer’s website
- arXiv.org
- TechRxiv.org
- Funder’s repository
This does not count as prior publication.
